Tools for School Volunteer Opportunity

In a few short months children in our community will be heading back to school – but for many students in the Alberta Capital Region, it will be without the proper supplies needed to be successful in school.  You can help change that!

United Way is looking for volunteers to help fill backpacks that will be distributed to students in kindergarten to grade 12 whose families have limited resources.

Example of a Tools for School backpackIn some areas of the Capital Region, the need for backpacks filled with school supplies is as high as 8 in 10 students. United Way will be hosting three days of caring next week that are open to the community, please feel free to invite your families and friends.
