CSI Lilydale

Lilydale employees hold the clues to supporting a great cause!

Lilydale’s Edmonton employees tried their hand as “Crime Scene Investigators” (CSIs) this October as they followed daily clues in pursuit of a mystery involving one of their co-workers - all in good fun, of course, and to the benefit of the local community!
“CSI Lilydale” was held this year at Lilydale’s corporate offices, North Plant, Hatchery, and South Plant for one week during the company’s Alberta Capital Region United Way Workplace Campaign.

A “crime scene” was created at each location by making an outline of an employee “victim” using masking tape. Employees were then alerted to the “crime” and invited to visit the crime scene as their first stop in becoming Lilydale CSIs.
Each day that week employees were provided with a new clue to the victim’s identity. The clues appeared on Lilydale’s United Way information display boards so that, as employees pieced together the “evidence”, they also had the opportunity to learn more about the campaign, the United Way, and the great work it does in the community.

Employees donated $1 for each guess they made as to who the victim was. All correct guesses were entered into a prize draw. By the end of the week, the puzzle was solved, the top CSIs were rewarded, and Lilydale employees were proud to uncover that having fun while supporting a great cause really is no mystery!

Lilydale employees exceeded their goal once again this year, raising more than $37,000 for the Alberta Capital Region United Way.
