Unite Engineers

Engineers go extreme to participate in the 3rd Annual Engineering Challenge Day of Caring.

More than 100 Engineers spent two Friday’s at two United Way Member Agencies during the Engineering Challenge Day of Caring. Projects they completed in just two days include landscaping and fence building at the Youth Emergency Shelter’s Armoury Youth Centre and The Edmonton John Howard’s Howard House.

Not only do Engineers volunteer for two days, but their companies share the costs of materials, products, supplies and safety equipment ensuring that there is no cost to the agencies.

The Engineering Challenge is a collaboration of the engineering sector that aims to strengthen communities across the Alberta Capital Region in partnership with United Way. Engineers challenge each other in their United Way participation and recognize individual and collective efforts.

Engineering firms involved include: AECOM, Associated Engineering, Bantrel, C-FER Technologies, CoSyn Technology, EBA Engineering, ISL Engineering & Landservices, Magna IV Engineering, Morrison Hershfield, SNC-Lavalin, Stantec and Worley Parsons.
