Alignment and Collaboration

The Action Plan is strongly aligned with other work that's taking place within the region.

EndPovertyEdmonton and the Government of Alberta's Valuing Mental Health, Alberta Mental Health Review 2015 report and, Family Violence Hurts Everyone report aligns with the goals in the Action Plan.

Building on Success

Many non-profit organizations, businesses, and governments have already made commitments to implement the Action Plan.

Six community partners now offer free drop-in counselling.

Alberta Health Services, Oxford Properties, Paladin Security and the Sexual Assault Centre of Edmonton are providing mental health literacy, addiction and trauma training.

The Community Mental Health Action Plan implementation is funded by the City of Edmonton and Alberta Government.
