Tools for School brings together community agencies, educational institutions, corporate supporters, the general public and the media for the purpose of a common goal – to provide backpacks filled with school supplies for students in Kindergarten through Grade 12 whose families have limited resources. In some areas of the Capital Region, the need for backpacks filled with school supplies is as high as 8 in 10 students.

Poverty Simulations are a unique and powerful experience which challenges perceptions, and strengthens understanding and empathy. Participants experience a full range of encounters, obstacles and challenges, while trained volunteers populate the simulation as business owners, teachers, police officers, agency workers, service providers and government employees. The simulations replicate a month in the life of a family living in poverty.

Homeless Connect Care Kits Program is a broad-based community-inspired initiative, providing free appropriate services, such as medical, vision and dental care, to people experiencing homelessness and those at risk of becoming homeless, on one day and at one location. United Way Alberta Capital Region supports Homeless Connect Edmonton with the Homeless Connect Care Kits.

Sponsored Campaign Representative Program offers a unique professional, personal and community development experience for the leaders of tomorrow – your up and coming employees. By participating in our program you not only make a meaningful and measureable investment in the community, you also make an investment in your employees and your business.
