Join us at the 2014 United Way Campaign Kickoff Luncheon. You don’t want to miss out on one of Canada’s best stand-up comedians, Don Burnstick.
Laughter is how Don makes his living today, but it is far removed from the life he once lived as an alcoholic and drug addict on the streets of Edmonton. Don’s keynote presentation will connect his life experience with the work United Way carries out in our community to end poverty.
2014 United Way Campaign Kickoff
Campaign Kickoff is attended by approximately 800 business, community and Government leaders. Regional Mayors or a designate from each municipality in the Alberta Capital Region will also attend the Kickoff luncheon this year. Mayor Don Iveson will bring greetings from the City of Edmonton.
This event also marks the start of the annual United Way Campaign and announces the current campaign cabinet and target for the Alberta Capital Region. The celebration includes greetings from the new Campaign Chair, Ruth Kelly.
