Two of United Ways Agency Partners have graciously offered for us to complete an IN-PERSON walking tour of their facilities: The Family Centre and Project Adult Literacy Society (PALS).
The Family Centre helps families and children navigate through change, raise healthy children, develop strong and health relationships, and heal from trauma. They offer countless programs that support children and families through these areas including, but not limited to: supports services for children, youth and families; counselling; mental health therapists, coaches and family support workers; employee and family assistance program; supports for LGBTQ+; etc.
PALS vision is to create a community in which all adults are functionally literate so that they can meet their full potential. They offer programs to build skills not only in learning English, but also in Math, Digital and other areas including learning how to effectively learn new skills in general.
