Us & Them – Limited One-Time Screening

If someone told me, at any time in my life, that I would be homeless, I would have thought they were nuts.
— Dawnellda Gauthier (from her story in Us & Them)

On November 9th, 2017, our United Way will host a one-night screening of Us & Them. This powerful documentary, by Canadian filmmaker Krista Loughton, follows the lives of four individuals struggling with homelessness over 10 years. Krista had the fortune of developing a strong bond with each person, sharing their life stories and efforts to find their pathways out of poverty.

Krista Loughton will be in attendance and, following the film, will take part in a panel discussion with local leaders and professionals in Edmonton's non-profit sector.

This is a ticketed event for all general audience members and staff who choose to attend. Half of the funds collected will go to United Way and the other half to the filmmaker to help recoup costs of the incredible film she will share with us.

This screening is proudly presented by United Way of the Alberta Capital Region with generous support by the University of Alberta.
