Senior Administrative Specialist, Individual Giving

The Senior Administrative Specialist contributes to the achievement of United Way’s mission and vision of creating pathways out of poverty by providing a wide range of professional administrative services in support of fund development operations and projects.

Reporting to the Senior Director, Individual Giving and as part of the Individual Giving team of five, your responsibilities will include senior level administrative tasks to support a wide range of Individual Giving projects, initiatives and services.

This position leads administrative support to annual processes related to donor recognition, solicitation, and stewardship, including managing the production of personalized materials and resources, coordinating communications, and tracking activity and results.

You will interact with donors and volunteers, conduct and analyze research on existing and potential donors, prepare donor profiles, record stewardship activity, and consolidate and analyze data. You will also assist in the planning, coordinating and execution of various events throughout the year, coordinate small and large meetings, administer calendars, and prepare minutes, correspondence and reports.

The completion of a two year administrative program and a minimum of three years’ experience in a similar position is required or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Advanced experience providing executive administrative support is preferred. Strong experience in the area of project coordination and conducting research is required.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong skill set in the following areas: planning; organizing; written and verbal communication; advanced knowledge of Word; Excel and PowerPoint, and the ability to work with and analyze numbers.
