Our Finance team are conscientious, analytical, relationship focused and committed to the achievement of our mission by maintaining the integrity of our accounting function.
Reporting to the Vice President, Finance and Corporate Services, you will lead our talented team of four in managing receivables, payables, receipting, and payroll (up to 100 employees). You will be responsible for reconciling accounts, analyzing variances and producing working papers, financial statements and ad hoc reports. You will complete our CRA returns and support audits, budget production and other finance and organizational activities.
The successful candidate will have formal accounting training, a minimum of three years in a similar role and have a proven record in leading people. An equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered. You are a proactive and responsible professional and have achieved results leveraging enterprise accounting software, Excel and other systems. You enjoy problem solving, coaching and collaborating with others, and can operate effectively in a fast paced and innovative organization. Working knowledge of Canadian accounting standards for not-for-profit organizations will contribute to your success. CPA designation and experience working with SAGE is considered an asset.
