Campaign Representative, Community Engagement

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to support our mission of creating pathways out of poverty for individuals and families in Edmonton and area by providing support to our Community Engagement team and our annual United Way workplace campaign.

In this role you will support volunteer activities including Community Engagement Days of Caring, Poverty Simulations and our Speakers program by attending volunteer and speaker events, at these events, you will deliver the United Way message and assist with registration activities. You will also take photos, share events and activities on social media and conduct follow up surveys.  On the communications side, you will support and implement a social media plan and develop social media content including text and visual assets.

Qualifications include experience working with digital technology and all social media platforms and superior writing skills with an understanding of effective social media engagement. Mobile photography and videography skills (for social content) is considered an asset.  You also have excellent planning, organizing and analyzing skills and can work well independently and with cross functional teams.  A valid driver’s license and vehicle are required as travel is involved in Edmonton and surrounding areas.
