Why United Way?

United Way looks at the big picture in order to deliver a coordinated network of services and programs to address a range of needs for children and families who are struggling.

By joining the community response to poverty, you can make a tremendous impact on the lives of local people.

“It felt great to be doing something tangible to support those in need. And doing it in the company of my colleagues was a bonus! The volunteer orientation we received was excellent, and the staff and other volunteers were very helpful.”

Sign up for a shift

Volunteer shifts are available year-round. Although a shift may appear available today or tomorrow, we require 2-3 business days to confirm a shift and ask that you sign up for a shift that provides that coordination time. Individuals and groups (maximum 5 people) can participate. This opportunity is not suitable for children under the age of 18.

This volunteer opportunity takes place at Bissell Centre East Building located on 10527 96 Street NW.

Parking is available in their parking lot or on the street.
