Sponsored Campaign Representative

In this role you will inspire, coach, and assist workplace representatives and volunteers in annual fundraising activities.   You will present the United Way message to groups, coordinate and deliver resource materials, monitor activities, collect campaign revenue, evaluate activities and provide recommendations to maximize campaign results.   

Successful Campaign Representatives can be in the early, transitional or later stages of their career.  Qualifications include experience or education in the business, public services or human services sector. You are energetic, flexible, organized and enjoy working with people.  A valid driver’s license and vehicle are required as travel is involved in Edmonton and surrounding areas.

This is a full time temporary position for 16 weeks commencing in August and ending mid December.  Comprehensive training on United Way, fundraising strategies and public speaking is provided.

Edmonton and area’s corporate and public sector have provided support to the annual United Way Campaign by providing funds to sponsor Campaign Representatives for a period of 16 weeks. (In addition, the Sponsored Campaign Representative program also includes corporate and public workplaces “seconding” one of their employees to United Way for a period of 15 weeks).

Program Assistant, Community Engagement Programs

This role assists with the scheduling of speaker presentations for annual workplace campaigns.  You will provide support by managing a large volume of speaker requests, coordinate speaker presentation schedules, track presentation activities and record reporting data by creating and maintaining spreadsheets.  You will also provide event support as required.
Qualifications include one year of administrative experience and basic MS Office skills. You are energetic, highly organized, detail focused, and can prioritize your workload and multitask in an extremely busy environment.  You also have the ability to collaborate professionally with internal and external representatives and prepare well written correspondence.

This is a full time commitment for 19 weeks commencing the last week of July and ending mid December

Administrative Assistant – Campaign Representatives

This role provides administrative support to the Sponsored Campaign Representatives including directing incoming calls, word processing, filing, photocopying and assembling training materials.

Qualified candidates will be have one year of administrative services experience. Basic Word and Excel, ability to multitask, professional telephone manner and strong interpersonal skills are required.

This is a full time position for 15 weeks commencing the last week of August and ending mid December

Order Clerk

This role provides administrative support to the Sponsored Campaign Representatives including preparing and tracking campaign material orders, inventory maintenance and providing general administrative duties.

Qualified candidates will have a grade 12 education and a knowledge of general administrative procedures. Ability to lift 20lbs is also required.

Accounts Receivable Assistant

Work involves processing contribution and pledge revenues including processing cash, cheque and credit card payments, and entering, importing and balancing revenue information.

Qualified candidates have experience with Excel (data imports), and credit card payment gateways.  You are also proficient entering and balancing large volumes of alpha and numeric data.  The successful candidate will demonstrate attention to detail and produce high quality, accurate work.  A basic understanding of accounting principles and experience processing cash/cheque deposits is preferred.

The annual full-time temporary employment term is from the beginning of October – mid December.
