Talk Money: Make Your Investment Plan Work for You

November 27 @ 1:30 pm - 4:00 pm | Cost: FREE

Celebrate Financial Literacy Month with United Way

November marks the 15th anniversary of Financial Literacy Month — a national movement to strengthen financial knowledge and skills. The 2025 theme, “Talk Money”, encourages Canadians to have open, honest conversations about money to build confidence and make informed decisions.

Celebrate Financial Literacy Month by joining United Way of the Alberta Capital Region for an engaging workshop that equips you to plan for the future with clarity and confidence.

In this session, you will:

  • Learn how to withdraw from retirement savings wisely and adjust your portfolio.
  • Determine the right level of investment risk for your life stage.
  • Explore secondary sources of income and their impact on savings and spending.
  • Discover the role of philanthropy in financial wellness – from annual donations to charitable trusts.
  • Explore best practices for setting up a trust, preparing children to manage funds responsibly, and aligning your giving with your values.

And most importantly, ask your questions and get expert guidance from two accredited financial advisors.

Take part in a practical conversation that helps you build security today and confidence for tomorrow.
