Red Tie Gala 2026

April 16 @ 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm | Cost: $165 - $1,800

You’re Invited to Red Tie Gala!

At this year’s Red Tie Gala, we’re celebrating 85 years of community impact! Since 1941, United Way of the Alberta Capital Region has been woven into the story of our community — a story shaped by compassion, collective action, and generations of people who believe in lifting one another up. In this milestone year, we’re taking a moment to look back — and look forward.

This elegant evening shines a light on the remarkable nominees and recipients of the Awards of Distinction — donors, volunteers, community agencies, and corporate partners. We’ll celebrate the collective progress we’ve made together, which inspires continued action toward a stronger, more connected community. This special anniversary edition of the Gala see a touch of retro nostalgia woven throughout the evening’s program.

Join us for an evening of celebration, connection, and purpose — honouring 85 years of community progress and the people who make it possible. Every toast, every story, and every moment reflects the power of community in action.

Meet Our Emcee for the Evening: Stacey Brotzel

Stacey has been a staple on Edmonton televisions for almost 30 years and now has taken the leap into radio. Less Spanx, she says.

The award-winning broadcaster loves to engage in stimulating conversations. She took a boat down someone’s street while covering Winnipeg’s flood of the century and packed gas masks in her coverage of the G8 in Kananaskis. She has interviewed prime ministers and premiers. She has chatted with Rolling Stones legend Keith Richards, pop star Tiffany and even made M.A.S.H. star Alan Alda laugh.

Stacey was also the host of the YWCA podcast “Searching for Izena,” introducing listeners to the female trailblazers at Edmonton city hall. She loves chocolate and hates coffee… but tea gets her through those 3 a.m. alarms for her gig as host of This Morning with Stacey Brotzel.
