The YEG Downtown Collaboration is a year-round, multi-partner, volunteer-led committee who cares about the social issues impacting our community and focuses our efforts on building stronger citizens to reshape the future of downtown Edmonton.

Through engagement, education, events, and fundraising efforts, YEG Downtown Collaboration aims to:

  • raise awareness about the incredible network of social agencies and businesses supporting our vulnerable community members in the downtown core.
  • connect and grow the network of downtown businesses learning about and engaging in the social supports and services that work together to address complex needs and deliver long-term solutions for their neighbours in need.
  • Support programs, initiatives, and solutions that address issues and create empathy and equity for all in our community.

United, we can make real change happen. Join us to build a better community where everyone has the chance to thrive.

United Way leads and supports both responsive solutions that address immediate needs in crisis situations and long-term systemic solutions for lasting change. Built on 80 years of experience, United Way’s experts deeply know this community and its support systems – and what it needs most. We bring together individuals, companies, social agencies, schools, and governments to collaborate and deliver local programs and services addressing the root causes of poverty.

This collaborative approach minimizes duplication to deliver larger scale impacts and sustainable change. Our work, our people, and our volunteers reflect our communities and are focused on ensuring no one is left behind in our local area.
