In 2019, United Way of the Alberta Capital Region is planning to raise an estimated $24,000,000 at an approximate cost to the organization of $4,500,000.
United Way’s fundraising costs are kept within the maximum 20 percent limit set by our Board of Directors. This means a minimum of 80 cents of every dollar raised by United Way is invested in delivering strategic programs and services. This is well within industry standards and competitive with non-profit organizations across Canada. In turn, we are helping our social service partners keep their costs low by managing their key fundraising efforts. This allows non-profits to spend less time on fundraising and more time delivering services.
