United Way volunteer experiences provide hands-on opportunities to make a difference in the community through direct action.
Days of Caring volunteer opportunities are a terrific way for individuals and groups to get involved in our community. By actively supporting United Way programs and assisting our local funded partners in their important work, you’ll support and uplift your friends and neighbours in the community.
Participants can meet and work with others who have similar interests and purpose, using and growing their skills and knowledge, build connections and network with others while actively participating in tangible solutions. For groups and workplaces, this is also a wonderful chance to boost morale, foster teamwork, and promote your company’s visibility in the community.
Edmonton’s Food Bank provides food and services to empower individuals and families struggling with food security. Volunteers will help sort and repackage food and make hampers with staple items. By volunteering your time, you will be helping local families meet their basic needs.
Tools for School ensures all kids have the tools they need to start school on equal footing with their peers. By donating your time, you will be helping to reduce one known barrier preventing children and youth from successful learning and participation in school.
Coats for Kids and Families provides clean, gently used coats and warm winter clothing for vulnerable children, families, and individuals. By volunteering your time to sort and package the coats, you will be helping the community stay warm during our region’s harsh winters.
